...and I couldn't help but wonder if that's exactly what happened with us.

A series of coincidences led us to meet. I wouldn't have been in Surathkal, nor would you have been in Bhopal, if not for one silly mistake. I don't know what lies ahead of us, but I can happily say that I'm grateful I made that mistake, because it led me to what has been the most beautiful chapter of my life.

The last two months have been some of the happiest of my life, and you made them even more special. I had heard that Bangalore could give you a lot of things, but the last thing I expected was to meet the love of my life there.

Since the day we met, there hasn't been a single day when I haven't thought about you, even before we started dating. I'm so glad we became so close as friends so quickly that we never even stopped to wonder whether we'd make good partners. It all happened so naturally.

Those little coffee breaks with everyone in the beginning gradually turned into just the two of us sitting together every evening, talking about anything and everything. Everyday sitting together during lunch, me cracking the silliest jokes just to see you laugh... those became the moments I looked forward to every single day. Looking back now, it's amazing how all those little moments quietly led us here.

Knowing that I won't get to see you just a few hours after our morning call still hurts. I miss going down to Bistro and sitting with you for a while, sneaking in a kiss here and there, our evening hangouts around the tech park, the late-night walks, and getting caught and scolded multiple times. ;') Oh, how I miss those days.

We've shared so many beautiful moments, but the day I cried in your arms and held you close was the day I truly realized how deeply I love you. I've never been someone who easily shows his emotional side, not even to my parents, but with you, it came so effortlessly. Maybe it really was God's plan to make me wait all this time, only so I could finally find someone like you.

I still remember the day I hugged you so tightly in the lift. In that moment, I could literally feel all my stress melting away, and I honestly felt like I could stay there forever. I was never much of a phone call person either, but now I don't even realize how hours pass by like minutes whenever I'm talking to you.

And your smile, I don't think you'll ever realize just how precious it is. Every time you smile, all I want to do is hug you tightly and never let go. I also wish you could see how adorable you looked every time you fell asleep on my shoulder. Those are moments I'll cherish forever.

I could keep writing, but I don't think this much space is enough to hold all the memories we've made in just these last two months. I'll save the rest for another day.

Maybe that quote was right. Maybe, when we spoke for the very first time, the stars really did look down at us and smile, because they already knew what we didn't, that we had finally found each other.
